Liverpool have been linked with a move for Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes, and Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest on the rumours.
Jurgen Klopp’s side haven’t been great at all this season. They’ve won just eight of their first 17 Premier League games and are already 16 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
A new midfielder is a necessity for the Reds, and Nunes has been heavily linked.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Nunes.
Reports revealed last year – when Nunes was still a Sporting Lisbon player – that the Red were keen to sign him. However, Wolves ended up landing him for £42.2 million (Sky Sports).
Even though it has only been a few months since the Wanderers signed Nunes, rumours have been circulating that Liverpool are still interested in signing the 24-year-old, who has been branded as an ‘unbelievable’ player.
Romano has now had his say on the rumours. He thinks a move isn’t going to happen in January, but at the end of this season, it’s a very real possibility.
He told GiveMeSport: “Not for January, but I think this is something that could happen in the summer.
“He is one of the players they really appreciate and was already on Liverpool’s list before he joined Wolves. They have a very good relationship with his agent.”

It won’t be easy for Liverpool to convince Wolves to let him go, but it really could work out for them if the Wanderers don’t improve in the coming months.
Julen Lopetegui’s side are currently 19th in the league table having won just three of their first 18 games. That is a shocking record, and that’s what cost Bruno Lage his job.
If Wolves do go down, Liverpool will likely find it easier to get a deal done for Nunes, who really is an excellent player. He has the potential to be a real star in the coming years, and under Klopp, he could really explode.
However, if Wolves manage to stay up, they will surely demand big money to let Nunes go.
