Liverpool’s interest in signing German international winger Leroy Sane is apparently ‘concrete’ according to Christian Falk.

Former Manchester City winger Sane has emerged as a target for the Reds in recent months. Differing reports have suggested he is high on Jurgen Klopp’s wanted list.

Further, Liverpool also know that interest from Saudi is bound to continue when it comes to Mo Salah.

And according to German journalist Christian Falk, Liverpool’s interest in Sane is indeed firm.

Liverpool have serious interest in signing Leroy Sane

Writing in his latest column for CaughtOffside, Falk had the following to say when it came to Liverpool and Sane.

“Liverpool’s interest in Leroy Sane is concrete. You can compare him to the man he might end up replacing at Anfield in Mo Salah; they both have speed and Sane is certainly younger,” Falk said.

“Bayern Munich are aware of the interest and after the international break they will meet the agents, LIAN Sports Group, to talk about an extension. They really want to keep him and Sane said that Bayern is the first club he will be talking to. His family has arrived in Munich after their new house was built and the player is feeling happy.”

Whether or not Sane would be open to making the move to Anfield remains to be seen.

However, the winger has not been without controversy in Munich and there could well be reason for him to seek a fresh challenge.

Bayern paid around the £44.5m mark to sign Sane back 2020. It is expected the German outfit would want at least that figure and more to let the winger go.

Liverpool, as we know, have done well at getting deals for players over the line quickly. Whether they can do that with Sane, though, is another question.
