Virgil van Dijk and James McConnell have both praised Harvey Elliott after his display for Liverpool last night.
The Reds were forced to come from behind against Luton Town on Wednesday evening after Chiedozie Ogbene’s first-half effort.
Liverpool came flying out the blocks for the second period, with Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo netting in quick succession just before the hour mark.
Luis Diaz gave Jurgen Klopp’s men some breathing space just 10 minutes later before Harvey Elliott wrapped up the win with a stoppage-time goal.

Elliott took to Instagram after last night’s 4-1 win and posted a picture of himself celebrating his goal in front of the Liverpool faithful.
His teammates flocked beneath the post to congratulate him on a brilliant display, with Van Dijk and McConnell both leaving replies.
Elliott has mainly been used as a squad option for Liverpool this term. But the 20-year-old has caught the eye whenever he’s played.
The Englishman can probably consider himself slightly unfortunate to not have started more regularly under Klopp.
But Liverpool boast a wealth of exceptional options in midfield and attack, which ultimately makes it difficult for Elliott to nail down his place as a starter.
Jurgen Klopp praised the youngster for his performances in training recently and he was rewarded with a start on Wednesday evening.
With the likes of Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez currency sidelined Elliott may well get a chance to impress as a starter over the coming weeks.
