Chelsea defender Levi Colwill could upset his family by beating Liverpool today.
The Carabao Cup final is upon us and Chelsea will meet Liverpool at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.
This is a repeat of the 2022 final and Chelsea will be looking for better fortunes this time around.
Chelsea lost on penalties two years ago but are unrecognisable now with the likes of Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Antonio Rudiger gone.
This is a new-look Chelsea side and one of the key players will be defender Levi Colwill.
Levi Colwill comments on Liverpool
Colwill has broken through as a first-team regular after loan spells at Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion.
After impressing alongside Axel Disasi against Manchester City last week, Colwill is raring to go against Liverpool.
Colwill’s family may have divided loyalties though, as they actually support Liverpool.
The Chelsea defender has told The Guardian that his father is a ‘real Liverpool fan’ who is always giving him the latest on injuries at Anfield.
Colwill admitted that he will give his father plenty of stick if Chelsea manage to come out on top, especially having done so during his time at Brighton.

When I was on loan at Brighton last season and we won 3-0, I gave my dad a bit and he didn’t like it! That was the first time I ever played against Liverpool so to win, especially, you have to give him a bit for it,” he added.
Colwill’s comments come amid continued rumours about a potential move to Anfield.
Reports just a few days ago indicated that Liverpool continue to track Colwill ahead of a potential move this summer.
Chelsea may look to sell homegrown players this summer and Colwill could bring in pure profit for the Blues.
Liverpool would seemingly be ready to pounce and Colwill would surely have his father in his ear if the Reds to make a move.
