Jurgen Klopp has decided he’s leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
We’re into the final inning of what has been an incredible reign for the German, and it’s fair to say that everything will change at Liverpool this summer.
The Reds are going to enter a whole new era, and there’s been a lot of chat about who will leave alongside the manager.
Virgil van Dijk made some comments last month that suggested he may follow the gaffer out the door, while others, such as Andy Robertson, have also been tipped to go with Klopp.
However, according to Sam Matterface, speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, now that the dust has settled, more and more players are thinking about sticking with Liverpool.
Indeed, Matterface says that he’s already aware of a couple of players who have backtracked on the idea of leaving Liverpool with the manager.

Matterface shared what he knows about the Reds and their key players.
“There’s a lot of work to do in the summer, especially with Klopp leaving. I know that Virgil van Dijk spoke about he may think about it to and there may be something of an exodus here, as far as I understand it a couple of them have backtracked on that, it’s not a blank canvas, but there will be some changes in the playing squad in the summer,” Matterface said.
Liverpool players don’t need to leave with Jurgen Klopp
As hard as it will be to see Klopp leave Liverpool, the reality is that life goes on.
While Klopp may be as close as it comes to being the exception to this rule, no manager is bigger than a football club, and while the Klopp era is over, Liverpool FC still have so much to offer any player.
There’s no need for an overreaction this summer, and, luckily, it sounds as though these players are being very reasonable when it comes to deciding on their futures.
