Liverpool may have the best attacking roster in Europe.
The Reds have five genuinely top-class attackers and at times this season they have been genuinely unplayable.
As always, Mohamed Salah has been the Merseyside club’s main source of goals, but the other attackers have also chipped in with their fair share.
Indeed, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have all taken on goalscoring duties at different times of this season, but according to Jermain Defoe, speaking on Premier League Productions, it is Diogo Jota who is the Reds’ best finisher at the moment.

Diogo Jota is Liverpool’s best finisher
Defoe spoke about Jota, claiming that he’s a better finisher than Salah as he’s more calculated.
“I think he is their best finisher. I think Salah shoots and he doesn’t finish if you know what I mean, but with Jota it’s more sort of calculated with his finishing,” Defoe said.
Diogo Jota’s finishing is brilliant
If there’s any pundit who has the right to talk about the art of finishing it’s Jermain Defoe.
The former Tottenham man may not be the most prolific striker in Premier League history, but he was one of the most deadly.
Much like Jota, Defoe only needed a sight of goal to pick out a corner, and that made him such a fantastic striker.
Jota isn’t Liverpool’s best goalscorer, but he may be their best finisher.
As Defoe says, Salah is great at getting into position and getting shots off, but his efforts do seem a lot more uncontrolled, while Jota seems so deliberate in where he’s putting the ball every single time he bears down on goal.
If Jota can just replicate Salah in terms of his movement and his ability to get into dangerous areas, he could well become the most fearsome attacker in the Premier League.
