Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison praised Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino for his display on Saturday.

The Reds ace scored twice in the Premier League meeting with Brighton at Anfield.

Liverpool conceded after just four minutes at Anfield, as Leandro Trossard opened the scoring.

He pounced on a loose ball and beat Alisson with a left-footed strike into the bottom corner of the net.

Then, things for worse for Liverpool as they conceded a second in the 18th minute.

Trossard was once again on the scoresheet, Solly Marsch setting him up for a finish from a tight angle.

Liverpool eventually halved the deficit in the 33rd minute.

Mohamed Salah squared the ball for Roberto Firmino to dink over the Brighton keeper.

At half time, Jurgen Klopp brought Luis Diaz on for Fabio Carvalho.

And the 25-year-old quickly made an impact, setting up Firmino for Liverpool’s equaliser.

The £29million man showed great composure once again to carve out an opening and shoot on his left foot.

It was Firmino’s fifth goal of the season and Morrison loved what he saw from the Brazilian.

“Firmino has been brilliant,” Morrison said on Soccer Saturday (1/10, 16:13). “Game on.”

Liverpool eventually took the lead in the 63rd minute through an Adam Webster own goal.

But Brighton then dragged themselves back into it, courtesy of more woeful Liverpool defending.

Kaoru Mitoma found Trossard at the back post, his delivery going past at least three players.

And the Belgian duly struck for his hat-trick, en route to a final score of 3-3 at Anfield.
