Liverpool put a dismal first half display behind them today to come back and beat Burnley thanks to an improved second 45 minutes.
Diogo Jota had given Liverpool the lead before Dara O’Shea knocked in a fine header to bring things level just before half-time.
However, Liverpool had enough in the locker and an inspired change from Jurgen Klopp in bringing on Harvey Elliott helped them get over the line in the end.
Of course, the crucial third goal was scored by the ever divisive Darwin Nunez, who headed in brilliantly well to put the game beyond doubt.

“Brilliant header. It looks like game, set and match. It’s not an easy header but Nunez uses his body brilliantly,” Sutton said.
Darwin Nunez does it again
You just cannot keep a good striker down. Darwin Nunez has his moments where he looks a mile off it but when he was needed today, he stepped up again.
Liverpool fans simply love him and it’s easy to see why. He puts in maximum effort and even when he’s missing chances, keeps going and gets his rewards like he has done today.
Nunez could well end up finishing this season with a phenomenal record in terms of goals and assists.
And if as part of those goal contributions he’s doing it in big moments like he did today, then that’s all the better for Liverpool and Klopp.
Right now, Darwin Nunez is one of the best forwards in Europe and he has been a real shining light in an already excellent Liverpool side.
More of this from him, and Liverpool might well end up winning the title after all.
