175 Liverpool face missing out on a long-term transfer target as Bayern Munich have now made an official bid for young midfielder, Assan Ouédraogo.
Ouédraogo has been on Liverpool’s list for some time now. Reports back in October claimed the Reds had made contact with the Schalke youngster and wanted to do a deal.
However, things have gone a bit quieter since and it now looks like Ouédraogo could be on his way to Bayern instead.

According to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern have now moved forward with an official bid for the youngster.
Still just a teenager, Ouédraogo is one of the most in-demand young players in Germany and it seems like Munich are now making their move.
Per Plettenberg on social media, the German giants have offered around £13m for the youngster and are hoping to convince him to sign with a contract through until 2029.
Liverpool miss out on a gem
Liverpool have done well in the market in recent times but it looks like they might just have missed the boat with this one.
Their recruitment has been good and they’ve landed a number of top young players like Ben Doak and more in recent times.
Sadly, it looks like the Reds will be missing out on Ouédraogo here, with Bayern making their move.
Young players in the Bundesliga always find it hard to turn down such moves. If Bayern come calling, then it’s hard to say no.
It’s a shame for Liverpool. Lauded as an ‘explosive‘ midfield player, there will certainly be plenty of eyes on Ouédraogo as he continues in his career.
Indeed, don’t be surprised if he is a name who gets a mention in future transfer windows, if he continues to develop and shines for Bayern.
