187 Liverpool have so many incredible players on their books right now.
The likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all undoubtedly world-class players, but perhaps the Reds’ most technically gifted player is someone who has barely played this season.
Indeed, Thiago Alcantara may be the most technically gifted player at Liverpool right now, but don’t just take our word for it.
According to Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, speaking to Goal on TikTok, Thiago is indeed the most skilful player in the world.
Tel was asked to play a game where he built his perfect player based on a number of attributes, and after picking the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland for speed and skill, he chose Thiago for his skill.

Tel shared his verdict on the £20m Liverpool man.
“Speed?” Tel was asked.
“Kylian Mbappe,” Tel answered.
“Strength?”
“Erling Haaland,” Tel said.
“Skills?”
“Thiago Alcantara,” Tel said.
So good
It’s easy to forget because it’s been so long since we’ve seen Thiago play, but Tel may be right here.
There aren’t many players in football history who have the level of skill that Thiago have.
The Spaniard has the most gorgeous first-touch, and his ability to move in tight spaces is unmatched, as is his passing technique.
Unfortunately, the midfielder’s body has let him down time and time again in recent years, and it looks as though his Liverpool career may come towards an end this summer with a whimper rather than a bang.
Thiago is a footballer you can’t help but love, but sadly, we’ve not been able to see enough of him at Liverpool in recent years.
This is a player with immense skill, but some of the best years of his career have been lost to injury.
