Jude Bellingham is a huge target for Liverpool and he has paid tribute to another Bundesliga player the Reds have tried to sign – Christopher Nkunku.
In September, it was reported that the Reds wanted to hijack Chelsea’s move for the France international, but he seems bound for Stamford Bridge.
He has done a medical with the Blues, although he has since suffered an injury which is keeping him out of France’s World Cup squad.
In an interview on YouTube, Bellingham was asked to name the best five-a-side team made up from players he has played against.

He said: “I’m not playing with a goalie. (Kevin) De Bruyne, easily, he’s so good, man. It’s hard on the spot! Played against him in the Champions League.
“(Joshua) Kimmich. Really good player. It’s tough. Thomas Muller, let’s say. Haaland obviously I played against him, forgot I’d played against him, it’s sad!
“If it’s people I’ve played against, I’ll say someone like Nkunku to be honest. Bagsman. Probably would be good at five-a-side. I’ll go with those five elite players.”
It remains to be seen if Liverpool can get Bellingham over the line, and if he keeps shining at the World Cup, his pricetag could keep going up and up.
Manchester City and Real Madrid should have the finances to sign him more easily, although a potential takeover could change the landscape at Anfield.
For the time being, Bellingham is trying to win the World Cup for England and it was a near-perfect start on Monday, with the United States of America ahead on Friday night.
