Liverpool are on the lookout for a new manager, and that may leave a number of other clubs worried about their current gaffers being pinched.
Indeed, when a club like Liverpool come calling, it’s very hard to say no, and many top managers will have half an eye on Jurgen Klopp’s job right now.
The likes of Bayer Leverkusen may well be worried that Liverpool are going to come and take their manager off their hands, with Xabi Alonso strongly linked, while there have also been whispers about Roberto De Zerbi at Brighton.
However, according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Brighton aren’t actually worried about De Zerbi’s future, claiming that there has been no contact between the parties just yet.

Jones shared what he knows about how the Seagulls are feeling.
“I think that De Zerbi is an interesting proposition. At the moment, Brighton aren’t worried about it, they’re confident there has been no contact, nothing official or unofficial at this stage, but he will look for that step up soon and not many clubs would fit him better than Liverpool,” Jones said.
No need to worry
Brighton are the last team that ever need to worry about something like this.
Because of how their model works, the south-coast club probably already have a replacement in mind for if De Zerbi does go, and that makes life a whole lot easier for The Seagulls.
De Zerbi may well be the man Liverpool end up targeting, but if the Reds do come in for the Italian, we wouldn’t be shocked at all if Brighton went out and found someone who’s even better than De Zerbi.
Brighton aren’t the type of club who worry about things like this.
