According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds could announce Slot as their new gaffer as early as this week, and that is incredibly intriguing.
Of course, as with any new manager, there is plenty of intrigue around this move, not only around how Slot will play but also who he may sign this summer.
Slot will come into Liverpool with his own idea of how he wants the team to lineup, and according to Rudy Galetti, the Dutchman could bring one of his key Feyenoord players with him.

According to Galetti, Quinten Timber could be one of Slot’s first signings at Liverpool.
The journalist says that the midfielder is very much appreciated by Slot and he could be on his way to England this summer.
Timber, of course, has links to England through his brother, Jurrien, who is on Arsenal’s books right now.

So, if Liverpool do sign Timber, what sort of player would they be getting?
Well, Timber is a bit of a jack of all trades. As his seven goals and eight assists this seasons show, he can be an attacking threat, while he also does plenty of work going backwards as well.
However, perhaps what is most striking about Timber is his ability to cover ground. Not only is the Dutchman a tireless midfielder who doesn’t stop running, he’s absolutely rapid too.
According to UEFA’s stats, Timber has clocked a top speed in the Champions League this season of 33 km/h. Interestingly, that’s a higher top speed than Kyle Walker has clocked this season according to The Speeds Database.
Timber could potentially be a top addition to this Liverpool midfield, and this is certainly a situation to keep an eye on.
