Liverpool came out well on top against Sparta Prague last night to enhance their reputation as favourites for the Europa League.
The Reds were far too strong for Prague over the two legs and in the end ran out 11-2 winners on aggregate thanks to last night’s 6-1 hammering.
For the watching Anfield crowd, it was a masterclass in how Liverpool have been in the Jurgen Klopp era.
However, for all the goals and the near perfection when it came to the press and finishing from Liverpool, the ever-demanding Klopp was still looking for more. Indeed, this was pointed out by Sky Sports’ Vinnie O’Connor, who noticed Klopp still going full tilt even at 4-0 up.

“An indication of how competitive Jurgen Klopp is. 4-0 up and he’s just told the assistant referee in front of the main stand how wrong he was when he signalled the ball had gone out of play for a Sparta throw,” O’Connor shared.
Jurgen Klopp just wants to win
He’s always been the same, the Liverpool manager. But this is a nice little snippet of just why he’s remained at the very top for so long.
4-0 up against a team it looks like you might get ten against, Klopp remained as determined as ever to get every decision going his way. In a way, it’s easy to see why the Liverpool players remain so motivated, if that’s what their manager is like.
Liverpool are well on track as well to win this Europa League. There isn’t another team in the competition – barring maybe Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen – who can get close to them.
Indeed, if they keep playing like this, then it’s game over really for the rest of the competition.
