155 Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo have surprisingly claimed that Kostas Tsimikas has the best left foot at Liverpool – even better than Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool duo made the comments when speaking to the Carabao Cup’s official X account.

Kostas Tsimikas has the best left foot at Liverpool
Well, the England U21 international and the Netherlands international were both partaking in a game of quick fire questions ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.
One of these questions was in regards to who has the best left foot at Liverpool.
Now, Jürgen Klopp is blessed with the likes of Salah, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott when it comes to left footers – but Jones and Gakpo opted to name Tsimikas as the best on that side.
The Liverpool No.17 simply replied: “Kostas”.
Gakpo – in agreement – added: “Kostas is amazing”.
The Greece international has only been afforded eight Premier League starts this season under Klopp – with the German mainly opting to use Joe Gomez on that side when Robertson is unavailable.
Kostas Tsimikas was a tremendous signing
In our view, the signing of Tsimikas back in August 2020 – for just £11.75m– was a fantastic piece of business.
Many questioned how Liverpool would find a player willing to be Robertson’s backup – but also one who is good enough to compete against the Scotland international.
In Tsimikas, the Reds found the ideal option, and for a bargain price.
Of course, the Greek defender can appear slightly rusty at times – as was the case earlier this season – although that is bound to happen to those who aren’t regulars in the starting XI.
Clearly, Tsimikas has the backing of his teammates – such as Jones and Gakpo – who evidently think very highly of his technical ability at Anfield.
