Liverpool came away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with their first league away win of the season.

A Mohamed Salah brace was enough to beat Spurs after the home side raised their game in the second half.

Salah spoke to the club’s official website after the match, and shared what he always thinks when he plays Tottenham.

The Egyptian forward hasn’t hit the same heights normally expected of him in a Liverpool shirt this season.

However, he’s now got 14 goals and 5 assists in all competitions, and his form appears to be improving.

His first goal was a fantastically struck shot in the box after good work from Darwin Nunez that gave Hugo Lloris no chance.

Salah then pounced on a mistake from Eric Dier who accidentally played him through one-on-one with Lloris.

Liverpool’s number eleven made no mistake as he dinked the ball past Tottenham’s captain.

Salah has now shared what he always thinks when he plays Tottenham, and was very respectful about yesterday’s opponents.

Salah on when he plays Tottenham

The Egyptian was asked after the game what he thought about playing Tottenham, to which he replied: “That’s a good one.

“It’s always a tough opponent, here or when we play at home

“But I’m always focused on the game and trying to make a difference for the team. I did that today.”

Salah has now scored ten goals against Spurs in 17 appearances.

In fact, he’s scored more goals against the north London side than any other team in his career.

Defenders have struggled to deal with the world-class forward for years, but Tottenham in particular seem to have trouble.

Salah’s performance have improved in the last few weeks, starting after their 7-1 drubbing of Rangers.

He was ‘absolutely brilliant’ against Manchester City three days later according to Gary Neville, and now has put another top four rival to the sword.

Salah’s comments on playing Tottenham were as professional as expected from the 30-year-old.

However, deep down he must look forward to facing Antonio Conte’s team given his brilliant record against them.
