Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has described Reds teammate Mohamed Salah as an “amazing” player.
The Liverpool summer signing was speaking to the Anfield media team after the Reds ran out 4-1 winners over Brentford on Saturday.
Both Mac Allister and Salah got on the scoresheet as Jurgen Klopp’s charges retained their spot at the of the league.
The Egypt international made his long-awaited return to action for Liverpool as he came off the bench against Brentford.
Salah, who replaced the injured Diogo Jota in the first half, registered a goal and an assist for the Reds.

He limped off just before half-time during Egypt’s 2-2 draw with Ghana on January 18, and medical tests showed that he would be out of action for a month.
And Mac Allister, speaking to the Liverpool website, sung Salah’s praises, admitting the player had been frustrated with not being able to contribute to Reds games.
“He’s amazing and I’m very happy for him,” Mac Allister said of Salah.
“He has been out and he’s been a little bit frustrated about it. But he came back and in just a couple of minutes he scored and assisted.
“He’s an amazing player, an amazing leader for us, very important. I’m very happy for him.”

Although Liverpool have fared well in Salah’s absence, his presence on the pitch just takes them up a level.
The £34million star is now on 15 goals and nine assists in the Premier League this season, and 19 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Salah’s efforts helped Liverpool remain top of the table, two points clear of Arsenal, who are now their closest challengers in second.
