Both players had stand out months in March.
Liverpool announced the results of their monthly poll, and it’s Alexis Mac Allister and Grace Fisk who get to take home the trophy for Player of the Month for March.
Alexis Mac Allister snagged his first win in March after scoring three goals and setting up three more in five starts. During a time when the Reds were playing with several key players injured, Mac Allister stepped up to help guide the team to a very successful month.
When asked about his favorite moment from March, he had two to pick out.
“One is the penalty against Man City in an important game. I had to take the responsibility and I really like to take pens. So that was an important moment. And then the assist for Darwin against Nottingham – I think it was special for everyone. So, these two moments,” he said.
Grace Fisk also joined the club last summer and has been working herself into the Matt Beard’s squad. Over March, she played every minute of every game. She scored her first goal for the club in the Reds’ huge 4-1 victory against Aston Villa.
“Obviously it’s a very nice award to be given,” she told the official site. “Beardy told me at the team meeting on Friday morning and it was really nice. We had some good results in March and it’s nice to be voted for by our supporters.
“It’s nice the supporters have seen the hard work I’ve been putting in and they have been really welcoming to me since I came into the club, and I’m very thankful to them for voting for me.”
It’s no doubt that Mac Allister and Fisk will both play key roles in the last few weeks of their respective seasons.
