Saudi Arabia are reportedly targeting a move for Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara with Jordan Henderson on the verge of leaving for Ajax.
The former Anfield captain has reportedly called it quits in the Middle East just six months after Henderson made the controversial move to Saudi Arabia from Liverpool.
However, the Arab state already have plans to replace the England international, with another Liverpool midfielder now on Saudi Arabia’s radar.

Signed for £25m in 2020, Thiago has had a mixed spell with Liverpool in the Premier League, with the former Bayern Munich man being plagued with injuries during his time at Anfield.
However, with Henderson now set to leave for Ajax, Saudi Arabia are now eyeing a move for Thiago, a transfer that Liverpool could green-light this month.
Thiago Alcantara to Saudi Arabia would suit Liverpool this January

And the Anfield side could now do just that if a Saudi Arabia side were to make a good offer for Thiago, who could relish in the chance of playing out in the Middle East.
Whilst the Saudi Pro League didn’t suit Henderson, the pace of the division could be ideal for Thiago, who clearly isn’t cut for top-level European football at this stage in his career.
