‘Actually one of our best players’: Pundit says £8m Liverpool player is up there with Mo Salah

Liverpool have some truly fantastic players on their books right now.

Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah are two of the very best in the world, but the Reds also have some underrated and perhaps unsung heroes too.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Jose Enrique has singled out Andrew Robertson for praise, claiming that the £8m man is actually one of Liverpool’s very best players, going as far as to say he’s the best left-back to ever play for the club, modestly, admitting that the Scot is better than he himself ever was.

Robertson one of Liverpool’s best players

Enrique shared his verdict on the defender.

“Let’s talk seriously on Andy yeah. I was better than Andy Robertson? Don’t be silly. Andy has won every single thing with the club. You can’t compare me with Andy. For me he is the best left-back to ever in a Liverpool shirt. You have to accept when players are better than you. I was very unlucky with my injury, I did really well before I was injured, but Andy Robertson is Andy Robertson, he’s a fantastic player, actually one of our best players and I love Andy, top, top player,” Enrique said.

Exciting

Enrique is right, Robertson is one of the Reds’ best players, and that is very exciting in the context of the season.

Indeed, Robertson is still yet to return from injury for Liverpool, and, when he does, this team will be even better.

The Reds are already top of the league without one of their best players, so just imagine what they may be able to do once Robertson is back.

We’re yet to even see this Liverpool side at full-strength for a sustained period this season, and that is a frightening prospect.

Let’s hope Robertson is back fit and firing soon, because, as Enrique says, he’s one of Liverpool’s best players.
