Pundit Perry Groves has admitted that Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai’s passing range has surprised a lot of people this season.
Groves was speaking on TalkSPORT’s YouTube channel after a successful Merseyside Derby for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Mohamed Salah was the hero on the day, scoring both goals in the second half even if he didn’t have his best game.
However, Klopp will be delighted with the performances of his players across the pitch.
Losing Andy Robertson to a long-term injury is a blow but Kostas Tsimikas stepped up well in his place at the weekend.

That’s Dominik Szoboszlai, who is quickly becoming one of the most important players in Klopp’s team.
Groves now believes that Szoboszlai’s passing range is taking many Liverpool fans by surprise.
He’s well known for his powerful long-range strikes and incredible work-rate.
But his ability to find his new teammates might even rival Trent Alexander-Arnold right now.
Liverpool star Szoboszlai praised for his passing
Speaking about Liverpool’s potential this season, Groves said: “The midfield, they’ve just added the legs to it.
“Everybody knew I think Jurgen Klopp wanted to give that team that got so close the season where they got into all the finals and come runners-up to Man City.
“He wanted to give those players the chance the next season which was a mistake.
“So, [Dominik] Szoboszlai has taken like a duck to water basically, he’s been absolutely outstanding.
“I think people were surprised at his passing range, Szoboszlai.
“They knew he had the energy but I don’t think they realised he had that sort of vision as well.”

He laid on 33 assists in his last four league campaigns and it won’t be long until he sets up his first goal for the Reds.
The Hungarian captain continues to surprise people with how well he’s adapted to life at Anfield.
Liverpool took a big risk making as many changes as they did to their midfield in the summer but his arrival has been an unmitigated success.
