Matthew Upson has shared what he has found amazing about Trent Alexander-Arnold after the Liverpool star made a landmark appearance last week.
Liverpool have recently received the big boost of Trent Alexander-Arnold returning to the ranks after sustaining an injury. Of course, the pressure was somewhat taken off the 25-year-old by the incredible performances of Conor Bradley.
But there is no question that Alexander-Arnold has been absolutely unbelievable this season. In fact, he has been brilliant, particularly going forward, for a long time now.

Alexander-Arnold actually made his 300th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions in the emphatic victory over Chelsea in midweek. Only 61 players have ever made more appearances for the club.

“Three hundred Liverpool appearances for Trent Alexander-Arnold is absolutely incredible at such a young age,” he said.
Plenty more to come from right-back
What is particularly scary is that there is little reason why Alexander-Arnold cannot improve further in the years to come.
It is fair to say that Jurgen Klopp appears to have found the perfect role for the academy graduate. He is now able to play as a right-back who is under less pressure to contribute defensively. That gives him the freedom to concentrate on pulling the strings with the ball at his feet.
Alexander-Arnold has 99 goal involvements in 301 games for Liverpool. That is a sensational return. And now he has that freer role, he should be able to add plenty more to the tally in the years to come.
And if he remains at Liverpool for the rest of his career, there is every chance that he will be amongst the legends who sit at the top of the club’s appearance charts.
