Jeff Stelling has admitted he’s a huge fan of Darwin Nunez and feels the Liverpool striker has been ’absolutely fantastic’ this season.
Darwin Nunez is certainly a player who can frustrate the Liverpool faithful from time to time. The 24-year-old never lacks in terms of effort but can be wasteful in front of goal.
Yet, the Uruguayan has improved his efficiency in the final third this term, netting nine times and providing seven assists in 24 Premier League appearances.
The 24-year-old produced a stunning finish on Saturday to open the scoring as Liverpool thrashed Brentford 4-1.
And Jeff Stelling has heaped praise on the former Benfica man following his recent displays for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the legendary presenter offered his verdict on Nunez.
“I think what they like about him is that he gives everything,” Stelling said. “He absolutely gives everything. I like him a lot.
“It’s not just down to the goals he scores, it’s the overall contribution to the team. He’s just been absolutely fantastic.”

The striker has undoubtedly made huge improvements in the final third and is quickly becoming an important part of Klopp’s side.
Nunez was forced off in the 4-1 win at Brentford after he ‘felt something’ during the first half.
Liverpool will certainly be hopeful that the injury isn’t serious, with Klopp’s squad currently being hit with injuries to several key players.
You get the feeling that Nunez will have a big role to play in Liverpool’s title hopes and losing him for an extended period would be a huge blow.
