Andre Trindade is a name that Liverpool fans ought to be very familiar with by now.
The Brazilian seems to be linked to Liverpool every few months or so, but, these rumours do seem to be fleeting as they’re incredibly few and far between and no concrete bids have been reported yet.
However, it does sound as though there is something to these rumours.
Indeed, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones has shared what he’s heard from a source about Liverpool’s interest in the Brazilian, and he says that someone he speaks to is absolutely adamant that Liverpool do want to sign Andre in January.

Jones shared what he knows about the £25m midfielder.
“I haven’t seen him. I don’t know very much about him, but there definitely is something. I speak to someone who speaks to his people and he’s absolutely adamant that this Liverpool interest is genuine,” Jones said.
One to watch
It certainly seems as though this is a situation we have to keep an eye on.
It looks as though Andre will be leaving Fluminense in January after their Copa Libertadores triumph, and a move to Europe seems inevitable.
Of course, when a team like Liverpool come calling, it’s very hard to say no, and with a clear hole in the Reds’ midfield in that number six slot, Andre may well be tempted to move to Anfield.
Fluminense have played hardball over Andre for quite some time now, so this may be a difficult deal to do, but, given that the Brazilian club have gotten everything they can out of him in a Copa Libertadores win, perhaps now is the team to let him depart with their blessing.
Keep an eye on Andre because it may not be long before we see him wearing a red shirt on Merseyside.
