It’s going to be a summer of big change at Liverpool.
Indeed, with Jurgen Klopp set to leave Anfield this summer, it looks like there’s going to be a new era beginning at Anfield soon.
The Reds are about to lose perhaps the most important figure at the club, and there’s still a chance that they’re going to lose another key man at the end of the season.
Indeed, Mohamed Salah continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and as the Egyptian heads into the final year of his contract, there’s every chance he could leave.
Speaking to Squawka, Glen Johnson has been discussing the idea of Salah leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

Johnson spoke about the £34m man potentially leaving.
“Salah is still a name that has been linked to leave for other reasons, even before Klopp’s announcement. If he were to leave, do you think the remaining Liverpool players are good enough to compete for the Premier League?” Johnson was asked.
“He’d certainly be a huge loss, they’re a much better side with him in it. But Liverpool have lost a lot of top players over the years and found a way to deal with it. Whether it’s a new signing, or someone coming up to fill his shoes slightly,” Johnson said.
“You’re never going to think the team are going to struggle because of one player. They’re a much better side than a one man band. So yes, the team would be weakened, but I’m sure they’ll find a way to work with it.”
Disaster
If ever there was a time Liverpool can’t afford to lose a player like Salah, this is it.
At the moment, there’s a huge level of uncertainty around Anfield, and Salah is one of the only players who the Reds know for sure they can rely on.
The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all had cold patches in recent years, but Salah has always maintained his incredibly high standards.
Whoever the next manager is needs to have a player like Salah who can provide that level of consistent brilliance, and Liverpool can’t afford to lose him right now.
