Jarell Quansah is making a real impact at Liverpool this season.
The 20-year-old centre-back has cemented himself as a squad player at Anfield this term, and the future looks incredibly bright for this young man.
Quansah may be having a breakout season on Merseyside, but it was at Bristol Rovers last term where he first started to make his name.
Indeed, Quansah spent the second-half of last term down in the west country, and it’s fair to say he impressed.
Speaking to The Redmen TV, Rovers coach, Danny Ventre, has been discussing Quansah’s time at the Memorial Stadium, and he says that he was able to see from day one that the defender was a future star.

Ventre shared his verdict on the youngster after spending last season working with him.
“Yeah, as a person you see young kids come through the door and you always wonder what they’re going to be like, but as soon as Jarrell walked through the door there was a presence about him. A great kid, always saying good morning and good afternoon, asking questions. Into the football, you could see from the moment he landed onto the pitch his qualities and the attributes he had and the potential he was going to be a future star,” Ventre said.

We’ve already seen that Quansah has bags of ability, but it’s always great to hear a coach within the game speaking like this.
As Ventre says, sometimes these young Premier League stars can act up a bit when they drop down the leagues on loan and carry a bit of an ego, but it sounds as though Quansah is the consummate professional and that bodes well for his future.
Liverpool’s academy has had plenty of success stories in recent years, and it sounds like Quansah could be the Reds’ next young star to make a real splash at first-team level.
