Paul Merson has told Sportskeeda that Mohamed Salah will be a completely different player when Liverpool meet Manchester City after his stunning hat-trick in the Champions League.
It has been a turbulent time for both the Reds and Salah. Of course, Jurgen Klopp’s men are languishing in mid-table in the Premier League. And their European campaign could have hardly started more poorly.

Salah set to be a completely different player
The situation culminated in a poor display at the Emirates as Liverpool fell further behind the pace-setters in the top-flight. Salah was taken off midway through the second-half at Arsenal with the scoreline 2-2.

In fact, the forward became the record holder for the fastest Champions League hat-trick on Wednesday as he scored three goals in just over six minutes at Rangers.
Certainly, Merson is expecting Salah to kick on again up against Manchester City at Anfield this weekend.
“Liverpool have been so spoiled by brilliance over the years that a couple of players being out of form has caused mayhem,” he told Sportskeeda.
“Yesterday’s result will make a difference for Liverpool, and Mohamed Salah will be a completely different player this weekend.”
Of course, one of Salah’s finest moments came against Pep Guardiola’s side on Merseyside when he danced past several challenges before scoring one incredible goal.
And City will definitely be wary of taking Liverpool’s form for granted. These two have been key protagonists in one of the best rivalries the Premier League has seen in the last few years. And they know what the Reds are capable of.
Particularly, they know exactly what Salah can do when he is flying.
