Liverpool have been absolutely brilliant as of late.
The Reds are now just two points off the top of the league, and they’ve shown a huge amount of quality, heart and fight over the past few games.
The Merseyside club have earned all sorts of plaudits as of late, and their midfield has been at the centre of a lot of that after a summer revamp.
Nothing but good things have been said about the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch in recent weeks, while Dominik Szoboszlai has looked like one of the signings of the season since day one.
However, speaking on Liverpool’s YouTube channel, Phil Thompson has shared some concerns about Szoboszlai’s performances in recent weeks, claiming that he’s had a bit of a dip over the last few matches.

Thompson shared his verdict on the £60m man.
“Szoboszlai, he his such a high in those first six or seven games, but in the last four or five he’s just had a bit of a dip. Whether it’s that energy and he’s just finding his feet, so that side of things is interesting, sitting in second place there’s still so much more to come to this side,” Thompson said.
Still brilliant
Szoboszlai may not be playing as well as he did in the first few weeks of the season, but he’s still been fantastic.
The Hungarian was a constant threat against Fulham with his long-range shooting at the weekend, while he grabbed a goal against Sheffield United on Wednesday.
As Thompson says, Szobsozlai started on such a high that it was always going to be tough to maintain that level of form, but a slight dip from that level still makes him one of the very best midfield players in the Premier League right now.
Szoboszlai is absolutely fantastic and he still looks like one of the signings of the season.
