'A big moment': Jamie Redknapp says Jurgen Klopp did something brilliant during Liverpool v Bournemouth today

Liverpool hammered Bournemouth today and Jamie Redknapp believes Jurgen Klopp deserves huge credit for the win.

Klopp looked on in frustration at half-time as the game was 0-0. But a big second half, with doubles from Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, ensured Liverpool came away with a big three points.

For Klopp, it was the second half he wanted to see from his team. The Liverpool boss had made a slight change at half-time, putting Nunez further down the middle.

And speaking about that change on Sky Sports, Jamie Redknapp felt that tactical switch from Klopp was the making of the entire performance in the second 45.

Jamie Redknapp lauds Jurgen Klopp

Speaking on Sky Sports about the change, Redknapp insisted that it was down to Klopp why Liverpool suddenly started hammering the goals in.

“I looked at this game at half-time and thought it could be a tight one. I thought it could go either way, but in the second half, Nunez came and played as the central striker to give Liverpool that physicality. It was a big moment and Jurgen Klopp deserves credit for that.,” Redknapp said.

Klopp shows his worth

With Mo Salah missing, Klopp needed to ensure he got the best out of his star forwards today and he made the move at half-time to do that.

There was enough there in the opening 45 to suggest things were going in the right direction but the switch with Nunez did change it all, like Redknapp says.

Nunez has been excellent in a lot of games this season and by adding goals like today, he can be one of the main men in the entire league.

When Liverpool play like they did today in that second half and use Nunez as the battering ram he can be, they are hard to beat.

Right now, they look unstoppable and a 2nd Premier League title could be on the way.
