The Jurgen Klopp era at Liverpool is coming to an end.
In just a few months’ time, the German will leave the Reds, and the farewell tour is already well and truly underway.
Klopp has already managed his final FA Cup game at Anfield, he’s faced off against Pep Guardiola in the league for the last time, and on Thursday, one Liverpool player could very well play his final game under Jurgen Klopp.
Indeed, when you think about it, Thursday’s game against Sparta Prague could well be Kostas Tsimikas’ final appearance of the Klopp era.
The Greek left-back is likely to play in this game as Liverpool field a rotated side in a Europa League game that is basically already done and dusted, but beyond this match, it’s hard to see where he plays again.

With Liverpool fighting on three fronts between now and the end of the season, The Reds will likely try to field their strongest XI in every game from here on in as the Europa League and FA Cup start to get a lot more serious as we reach the latter stages of those competitions.
Thursday’s game may well be the last time that Klopp fields a second-string side for Liverpool, and that may mean that this is Tsimikas’ final ever appearance under the German.
Of course, injuries and suspensions could change that, but if everything goes to plan, we wouldn’t be shocked at all if Klopp never uses Tsimikas again from here on in.
This is the beginning of the end of the Klopp era, and while Tsimikas isn’t necessarily the most iconic player, the fact that this could be his final game for Klopp does signify just how close we are to the end of this journey.
