Conor Bradley has returned to training but may not be ready to start against Everton while Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain absent due to injury.
Despite a two-and-a-half weeks between matches due to the March international break and a return to action in England with a now concluded FA Cup weekend, Liverpool’s right back injury concerns remain as they prepare to face local rivals Everton.
At his pre-match press conference, manager Arne Slot confirmed neither Trent Alexander-Arnold nor Joe Gomez are back in training yet, and while Conor Bradley has returned it’s not clear if he’s fit to start on Wednesday or will only be an option off the bench.
“Conor is training but we have to make a decision on if he is coming in or starting,” Slot noted. “That’s something I keep for myself, but he’s only had a few sessions after being out for quite long with a repetitive injury, so we have to make a smart decision.”
In more positive injury news, the Liverpool manager confirmed that both Ryan Gravenberch and Alisson Becker have been training regularly this week, and while he wouldn’t confirm that either is a lock to start both look likely to be options to do so.
“Ryan is okay although we have to train one more time, but he is okay,” Slot added. “Ali trained with us as well this week but still the last check has to be made—and I think that’s this afternoon after the training session—to see if he is available to play.”
